Dating in Little Italy
In shortLittle Italy runs along Preston Street, with restaurants and cafés a short walk from Dow's Lake. It is a good spot for dinner after a walk by the water. In May the tulips at Commissioners Park are close by too.

A slow walk through the Dominion Arboretum
The Arboretum on the Central Experimental Farm covers about 35 hectares, with more than 2,000 kinds of trees and shrubs. It is free and open from dawn to dusk. A lookout on its northeast side faces Dow's Lake.
