Dating in Gatineau (Hull)
In shortHull is just over the bridges from downtown Ottawa, with its own bars, restaurants and a more French-speaking feel. Dating across the river is common and the walk over takes minutes. The view back to Parliament is one of the best in the region.

Thursday evening at the Museum of History
The museum on Laurier Street faces Parliament Hill across the river. Entry is free on Thursdays from 5 to 7pm, and everyone needs a timed ticket. The Panorama Café has river views.
